Understanding 18D Special Forces Medic Demands
An 18D must carry over 60 pounds of specialized surgical instruments, plasma, chest tubes, and trauma pharmaceuticals in addition to standard body armor and ammunition. In combat, they must drag wounded teammates (200+ lbs with gear) out of the line of fire (SDC) and perform delicate arterial interventions with steady hands and clear cognitive function under severe physical exhaustion.
