Under Army Directive 2023-11, soldiers who achieve a high standard of physical excellence on the AFT are officially exempt from mandatory body fat screening.
The Two Non-Negotiable Exemption Requirements
465+
Total Cumulative Score
You must earn a minimum total score of 465 out of 500 points on the official AFT record test.
80+
Minimum Score in All 5 Events
You must score at least 80 points in MDL, HRP, SDC, PLK, and 2MR. A score of 79 in even one event forfeits exemption.
